The location might scare people away but it’s so worth it for some really great Tex-Mex. Not to mention the flour tortillas are some of the best you can find anywhere. Expect really large portions at fair prices. Don’t let the location throw you off and go ASAP!
Decided to give it a try because it’s literally right across the Selena quintanilla museum/ recording studio and we said hey she probably would eat there and sure enough they had pictures of her by the register. If You want real authentic Mexican food you gotta try them! Very nice staff. I had the green enchiladas and they were delicious and the refried beans were so good!! To top it off the flour tortillas were made fresh and super soft and big. We had the fajita nachos as an appetizer and they were stacked with meat, cheese and refried beans. My husband had the country fried steak and he loved it. The mashed potatoes and gravy it came with were made from scratch and delicious. it was a big portion so make sure you bring your appetite
After several dissapointing "Authentic Mexican Food" Restaurants, we ended up finding this absolute gem, we left here very satisfied with plans of making this our "Go to place" everytime we come visit Corpus Christi, can't praise it enough.
I've been eating their food for many years... They used to deliver to me when I bartended at Pockets long ago, and I loved their food. I moved to Dallas for years and recently moved back. Stopped by twice last week, and yuuup- still delicious! The price is also right. My favorite is their carne guisada tacos, but everything I've ever tried has been good and "worth it", in my opinion.
THIS WAS GOOD!! All of it was great! The tortillas are amazing, the chips are homemade, great salsas, loved it! Service was great, our server was really sweet and helpful. Portions are great for the price! This is AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD and I LOVED IT!!
First time here and best food ever great service my breakfast was on point I didn’t like the flour tortillas so I ask to get corn instead and they kept checking up on me to see if I wanted more coffee yes
The food was amazing and everything definitely tasted like it was made from HOME!! Tortillas were fresh!! Loved that the corn tortillas were home made and not store bought!! HUBBY ordered the menudo and was blown away!
I absolutely love this place,hadn't been here in a long while but I was in the area for work.Their breakfast tacos never dissapoint!It's in a rough area but if you go thru drove thru there should be no problem.
